Get Pre-Approval
Wherever You Are
Before beginning your home search, it's wise to meet with a Loan Officer to get pre-approved for a mortgage. During this process, the lender will assess your financial information—such as your income, assets, and debts—to determine how much you can afford.
This evaluation includes reviewing your credit report, W-2 forms, pay stubs, Federal Tax Returns, and recent bank statements. Since there are various loan programs available, be sure to get pre-qualified for the ones that align best with your needs.

What Happens When A Loan Goes "Live"
Once you’ve found the property you’re ready to purchase, your lender will assist you in completing the full mortgage application and guide you through the different fees and down payment options. After submission, the application moves to the processing stage, where your documents are reviewed, and appraisals and title examinations are ordered. From there, the loan is sent to an underwriter, who ensures everything complies with the requirements before granting final approval.
Closing
Signing And Finalizing The Deal
Be prepared to provide additional documentation or clarification as needed during the process. Once your loan is approved, remember to arrange for homeowners insurance. Your paperwork will then be sent to the title company, where you'll sign the final documents and settle any remaining costs. After the loan is officially recorded, you’ll receive the keys to your new home. Congratulations, you're now a homeowner
